Do you know shape of Kumamoto Prefecture? I think it looks like bear. What do you think? Haha:-D There are in Kyusyu. Kyusyu is south of Japan. Also, Okinawa is included too. Then, capital of Kumamoto Prefecture is Kumamoto city. It is situated above the bear's root of hand.
Kumamoto has a lot of good food. For example, Basashi: raw meat of horse with sliced onion, ginger, grated garlic and soy sauce. A lotus root with musterd: a lotus root is filled with musterd, and coating and deep fring. It's good for health. Hitomojiguruguru: blanch and wrapping a long green onion, and we eat with vinegared soybean paste. These are so unique cooking, these aren't? If you come Kumamoto, you shoud try these.
Kumamoto has many place make you refresh. Espesially, there are toward Aso. For example, Shirakawa suigen: the spring water is said the best in Japan. My parents often bring back the water, and use to make a coffee. If you want to bring back the water you could do that. But, you must pay 100yen. Also there are nature and a shrine there. You must be made refresh and drinking delicious water.
